Saint Bernadette Faith Formation Ministry empowers families in the life long process of growing in faith. We offer resources through programs and this site to help all adults (parents, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles and parishioners) to share our Catholic Faith with the children in their life.
Fasting and Feasting Choose to fast or not do something and choose to feast by doing things to make room for God in your life this Lent. Fasting is reducing the amount of food you eat and abstaining from meat. By fasting, our physical hunger reminds us of our spiritual hunger or our need for God. Feasting turns our attention to both God and others. Jesus tells us the most real and lasting joy is sharing ourselves in love for our friends, our family, and our brothers and sisters in need. During Lent, we feast on joy, compassion, service and hope so that we might grow in faith all year long. What are you fasting and feasting on these 40 days of Lent?
Here are ideas for Fasting and Feasting for families to fast, pray and feast for Lent.
