This sacrament offers the gift of God's forgiveness. We are all given free will to make choices in our actions. Some actions may hurt God, others, our church and ourselves. God offers this sacrament to repair those relationships. Children in second grade are offered the opportunity to prepare for this sacrament. Children who attend Catholic schools are encouraged to celebrate this sacrament here in their home parish.
Parents gather for a formation and information session to prepare for this journey of preparation. Parents are expected to celebrate this sacrament before their child's First Reconciliation.. Opportunities for this sacrament include Saturdays at 4 pm and at our parish penance services offered during Advent on December 10th and during Lent .
On January 13th, the Feast of the Baptism of Christ, families are to gather for 11 am Mass.
Father Paul will take the children on a tour of the confessionals and do a mock confession.
On Tuesday, March 12th, Priests from neighboring parishes join our parish priests to celebrate
the Sacrament of First Reconciliation.
Children need to arrive by 6:45 pm and sit with their group.
We invite family and friends to go to confession at the children's celebration.
Please pray for our First Penance Candidates:
